Read those past entries again. Yes, again. Not the first time I did that. Realized there are just so much entries talking about him. About how much I missed him. About our times together. About how much I've tried to let go of him time and again. And how I failed terribly each time I tried to do so. It's the 21st day of the month. A day that once belonged to us. A day that depicted the start of everything about us that I couldn't let go of. If we hadn't went our separate ways, we would have had been together for 2 years and 10 months. But we did, and it had been 2 years and 3 months since we broke up. Amazed by how much time had passed. Why is it so hard. Why is it just so hard. 为什么就是办不到. 为什么他要让我那么难过. Why. I just can't stop questioning. I tried to bury everything. I tried to stop thinking about this person ever again. Everything about us. But it still ended in tears. And the cycle repeats itself? Yes, I think so.

finally, something highly anticipated! volunteer's appreciation party at the Universal Studios Singapore! yay!!!

day started with cia crashing into NTU, having a boring 2 hour lecture with me! then lunched in school, went to the library to watch the proposal video clip by Mr dennis lee to Ms kelly chua that was posted up on fb! it was such a sweeeeeeeeeet and nicely done video! hee hee... so happy for them!!! then was movies at the cineleisure; Love cuts. finally we made our way down to harbour front, ready to have a wonderful night at the uss! parted at vivo city and met up with uncle steven, yati and magen for dinner at burger's king. afterwhich, we made our way into the uss! hell lots of people! all were yog volunteers cos the studios was opened just for us!

at the entrance!

and first stop, to the Far Far Away land...

watched Shrek in 4D! oh wells, it was simply amazing! i have no idea whats 4D all about and i guess that's a good thing. cos everything that i experienced inside was nothing but shock and surprises!

introduction to what we are encountering inside.
cute 3 little pigs locked up! they talk and move! heehee.

favourite ginger bread man!

inside the theatre!

me and yati with our 3D glasses.

the 4D experience was fantastic! it was then that i realise what's 4D all about. 3D will be just the images appearing life-like and real, while 4D actually have the actions/movements all incorporated in throughout the show!
eg. when donkey sneezes, there will be water splashing on us! it felt disgusting man! occasionally, we will be treated to movements of the chair like when we are riding on a carriage. and many more surprises! in all,i can only say it was really awesome!!! yay!!!

next was to a 'mini' roller coaster ride.

yes, it was a short one indeed but the thrill arent at a junior level only! pheew!

can't really remember what's next but we did went for the most thrilling ride of the night.

at Ancient Egypt:

yeah! this was the one...
took it with yati, magen,yz and din! heh heh. walked though long long mazes that was well furnished like we are at the ancient egypt, before we finally reach and is ready for the ride! it was really really quite good, though i felt it was a little less scary than i initially thought. hee hee.

then was some pictures of the mummy sculptures around the Ancient Egypt theme!

considering uncle steven's weak heart, we decided to go for some kiddie rides so that he could join too. hee hee. he was insisting that he arent doing all the thrilling rides cos he's wearing formal wear-not very convenient to go crazy. hahahaha! how true is that???

and so we went for this Treasure Hunt ride; with no thrills, just sitting on the carriage, moving around slowly. that's the ever so cheeky uncle!

my beloved fellow yog comrades! here's a toast to our friendship!

then we went to the Sci Fi City.
didnt got onto any rides here since the main main attraction-roller coaster arent in operation. but took some pictures!

entrance to the sci fi city.

picture taken when magen went on a mega spinning ride. woah. that will be like the last thing i wanna do in any themepark. cos after that ride, i would probably be saying byebye and going home!

next, was to New York.

we went in to catch a Lights! Camera! Action! show by Steven Spielberg. wow!!!! it was really fantastic!!!! was treated to a special effects soundstage, experiencing a major hurricane that was about to hit new york. it was really good! so life-like and shocking man!

then, we headed over to Hollywood.

didnt do much here and my dumb camera's running out of battery! so so so upset with myself for not charging it fully..

headed to Madagasca for a meal so as to spend our $10 meal voucher! got myself a potion bottle! hee hee.

the madagasca characters dancing!

they are so so so so cutey! i didnt catch the movies before so im quite unfamiliar with the characters. nonetheless, they're still lovely to me! wanted to take pictures with them but queue was too long and they were about to leave...

quite a waste that we didnt manage to get a couple of rides at the Lost World. queue was too long! but all in all, it was a great night spent at the USS. didnt expect my first time there will be free of charge! and with such great company. yog people all around- so enthusiastic and hyped up! only thing im upset about was with my camera! low batt plus super lousy quality of pictures taken! argh! shall save up for a better one soon...

enjoyed myself so much for the night. tell me how to not love yog? <3

i've got a feeling
Ooo Ooo
that tonight's gonna be a good night...

indeed, i had a more than good night at the Volunteer's appreciation party at the Universal Studios Singapore that night. it felt so great, that inevitably ignited my yog fever again... saw those old familiar faces! it never felt so good to be involved in an event like this... ...
shall update in details what we did over there sometime soon. for now, i just want to say im really really so glad i had volunteered for the event. cos i met really fantastic friends/mentors! to my dearest yati and uncle steven: thanks so much for ur guidance during the games, and of course the laughters after the games had ended... it has been a wonderful experience for me and made even better with you guy's company! i will always remember how i love to bicker with uncle, while me and yati will be standing on the same line, shooting him, will rmb how we like to gossip about our troublesome auntie, will remember how we would choose the best place to watch the games discretely... those were the good old days? hahaha. at least it is for me! we are all so well taken care of by you guys, so to me, it had been an awesome an carefree 2 weeks! and i guess to all of us, it had been one of the proudest moments of our lives... those were really precious memories! yati and steven, really cannt thank you guys enough for being there for us, and just for being who you are... yati will be like the meticulous elder sister and steven will be like a modern hip father! lol. though i know steven would prefer to be a modern and handsome boyfriend! hahahaha! anw, for now, i can only wish for nothing but the best for you guys! in your work, health, family and everything in life! this will be like the last meetup organised under the syog organising commitee. the rest will be up to us! so please please please keep in touch! i will miss you 2 so much so much and those good old days.. P.S. yog had been the bestest moments of my 19 year old life!! thanks for being part of it yeah!will miss u guys so much!!!

how's life so far?
JIJI gathering at Marina barage- fly kite and celebrated turbo's birthday. outing with psych people and surprise birthday celebration for Ivan. freshmen welcome ceremony at NTU. met up with cia. attended the appreciation night at kaysiang. went back to hometown during the hari raya long weekends. started uni life proper. it doesnt sound alot. but feels like a long time had past.
uni life started but doesnt seem to be enjoying it. still struggling with making new friends in the new environment. still struggling to get back onto the track of studying. still struggling to not think about him ever again. yes, not ever again. at times, just can't help but be envious of the kind of life the rest of my friends are leading- happy, happy and still happy. and then i question myself why? why can't i be like them? no answer. can't answer to that. maybe im just different. im just so different from the rest. that i have to always live on past memories. that i have to always hang on to the past. it was supposed to be a good year for me. a great one. one that i had never ever been so happy before. but im jeopardising everything. with the way im living everyday.
i could have just ignored his updates. but i just can't. just can't control myself to check. why? why am i doing this to myself? allowing myself to feel so painful again and again. and it just keeps repeating. everything just keeps repeating itself.
历史不断重演..... 我, 好累. so what if i deleted his past sms-es. so what if i tried to discard those memories physically. because im not mentally, im just stuck right in this piece of shit.

felt like a grumpy old lady now. grumbling about every other thing. im feeling so awful to be feeling all these!

The inaugural Youth Olympic Games 2010.
the most anticipated event of he year is finally here! totally can't contain my excitement! to wear the uniforms, to use the prepaid workforce card,to enter the venues, to watch the match live and everything!

to kickstart, me and dawn watched the min's basketball match at the Scape youthpark!

15th Aug,

totally couldn't control ourselves. we were simply too excited! brought camera, video cam, tripod, and of course our voice to shout bigggggg time!

number 7, min! though she didn't play exceptionally well, or should i say they didnt play exceptionally well, im soooooo proud of min. so proud so proud!

the final score.

it was a good fight seriously.

we were simply shouting throughout min's whole match and finally got a rest when the match ended. we sat there to continue watching other matches, including the Singapore Guys team. they're good! and also manay other matches which were so so so exciting! it was a wonderful kickstart to my yog journey!

our basketball star!!! im so so so proud of min! and i can't thank her enough for the tix. it allowed me to see her in action! im so glad i could make it.

way to go, cousin!

16th aug

first day of duty at the Singapore Indoor Stadium! woke up freaking early to catch the first train to kallang. surprisingly there were alot of people catching the first train!

Badminton was the first event held at SIS.

can't help but start snapping pictures here and there. im just too excited!

Team Singapore's Huang Chao. it was an easy feat for him in the preliminaries! the racket of the opposition team even broke into 2! holy mama~

17th aug

it was a day of highs and lows. Match between China and Thai. China lost! How could that have happened! Match between Singapore and Msia. Singapore lost! Such a waste!Watched china Vs thai with much anticipation, predicting a walkover by china but was taken aback when china lost the first match. Thought he was testing water. But apparently he aren't though the 2nd match was a tough fight. For a moment, he caught up. But lost regrettably in the end. Came as a total shock!

Moving on to team Singapore Malaysia. Msia seed was really good. Singapore's huang chao committed mistakes that were regrettable. Probably due to pressure from home team supporters that flooded the whole stadium with their never ending cheers. Was a highly anticipated match, so much so that u get to see the media crew moving all around. Even the ministers were here to support! How to not feel pressured, u tell me? Amazing supporters seen during the match, with students rallying the kallang wave spontaneously. And it was brilliant! Cheers were also very spontaneous from the crowd, with everybody cheering as one. Tough fight put up by team spore, 21-16, 21-18.

pictures with Magen(our team leader) and Leo & Merly!

damn ex sial! $39.90 each!

18th aug

Interesting day at sis today. Me n Magen took up the responsibility to do the check list all by ourselves. Realized could spot out so many faults if we want to do it cautiously. Was a good try by us I would say. Watched match of china vs great britain(Girls). Easy walk over by china.

Highlight came when Msia fought w Thai. Ownage! First match I watched that requires a third round to determine the winner. Thai took the first game while Maia put up a tough fight at 2nd round and claimed victory on the second. Was a nail biting game indeed! As usual, the Thai contigent was around to rally support. But I supported Msia wholeheartedly!

Games took a twist when msia seed was injured. He gave up when scores was 3-11. Thai got it! It was heartwarming to see these young athletes encouraging each other after the match though. That sight was the Greatest takeaway for today. btw, Thai boy rocked!!! he is reeeeeeally great!

Neeways, back to work, Steven gotta leave early as something urgent cropped up at home, leaving me n Magen to do the clean up. Stress! Managed to talk to venue manager, Doris and things were settled. Cool! In beginning to love all these. :)

Thai guy autographing!

his autograph is so cutey right!!!

19th aug

omg! took pictures with the youth olympic champion!damn shiok!!!!! yz was damn jealous cos she loved thai boy alot too!

thailand~

20th aug

off duty for today for the changeover to table tennis at SIS. so decided to go for the swimming finals with yz, cia and friends!

all the swimming guys are hottttttttt, i tell ya! i don't see how they are below 18 seriously. it was a fantastic night over at the sports school i would say. yay!

china was the biggggggg winner for the day. they are freaking good!

us, camwhoring after the match. bought spore flag cos Team Singapore's Amanda Lim was in the finals!

china's He Jian Bin. he's totally our cup of tea man! couln't bear to leave after the games, hoping to take pictures with the atheletes. haha. but to no avail! sian.

21st aug

first day of changeover to table tennis.

so cool duh!

young school kids waving the spore flag feverishly, in support of our Singapore players!

Isabelle Li and Clarence Chew!
both braved through the first day of prelims to enter quaterfinals! so proud man!

22nd aug

finally the chance to go down to the field of play for pictures! yay!!!!!!

yz, me and yati at the podium!

btw, isabelle manage to fight her way though the quaterfinals to enter the semifinals! meaning, we are on our way to a medal!!!!!!!!!!

23rd aug

it was the proudest day for all of us the indoor stadium! isabelle won thai and she is on her way to the finals- gold medal match in the evening! it was so so so so so cool!!! everyone was so happy and excited! though she's up with china's Gu yuting, we were still assured of a silver medal AT LEAST! damn hou yeah~~~

reckon that it would be too wasteful to not catch that match live, me and yz went back to the indoor stadium for duty even though we are done alr!

match of china Vs spore!

the very supportive crowd. they are simply amazing!!!

our silver medalist!!!!!

victory ceremony- rising of singapore flag! though we were reallynot up to match with china's gu yuting, can only say isabelle did her best and did all of us proud! even the PM and several ministers were here to support!

picture with our silver medalist! that's one of the wonderful thing about being volunteers?! heh heh.

24th aug

first day of the mixed doubles table tennis! isabelle together with clarence in Team spore!

they played quite well, eliminating a couple of groups, but fall out when they match up against Japan. Japan's team was really strong cos it was made up of the Boy's individual gold medalist!(he's a cute and handsome guy yea!) anw, i think there's something really fantastic about this yog. they actually mix different countries together if either of them didnt send their girl/boy representative. for instance, china's gu yuting was paired up with a Tunasian guy for this mixed doubles event. and they are called Intercontinental 1. it was quite a dream pair cos they manage to fight through alot of matches to emerge as the bronze medalist in the end! kudos to them and to the organising commitee! indeed a game of trust and friendship!

anyway, before the start of our duty, me and yz got off at orchard road. and we totally lost our minds there-posing with leo and merly! hahaha!

25th aug
its the 2nd last night and i started to feel the nostalgia! decided to go watch the youth olympic torch with yizhuang before it gets extinguished at the Float@marina bay.

view from outside! then the highlight of the night came. there were barricates obstructing the entry to the float, but a section of it was removed when the people wanted to move something in. we saw an ang moh lady walking in(she was wearing the workforce pass btw) and the people like just look at her walk in, don't dare to say anything.

so me and yz were like:

eh敢进吗?

steady bo?

真的要进吗!

okay la. 走啦。just act zai!

and with that, we just walk in!(with our pass also) damn high man! we freaking can't believe we sneaked in!

so this was the front view of the torch!

so we just walked around, act like a big shot, take pictures and leave through the carpark! holy mama!!! fengggggggggg diao!

26th Aug

it's the last day of duy at SIS! aww man.

picture with uncle steven ohhhh~ he is a joke seriously!

the magnificent view of the indoor stadium.

and here we present the medalists for the mixed doubles. it was a fantastic match to end off the series of competitions held at the indoor stadium.

new friends made from the EVS team! really lovely of them to make something for me!

can only say indoor stadium was a place where i saw tears and sweats, laughters and cheers. everything was just so amazing! i loved the audience, i loved the atmosphere, i loved the atheletes; basically loved everything over here!

for the finale of the youth olympic games volunteering journey, i decided to watch the closing ceremony "live" with cia. not in the sense of getting a tix, but watching it at the live telecast at the marina promontory@marina bay. took us a great deal of time and effort to find this place and yay! we finally reached!

cute leo and merly mascots on stage!

and the splendid fireworks display! though it was much much lesser than the opening ceremony, it was still awesome! especially to be able to see it "live" instead of from the tv.

there were certain parts through the ceremony that i can't help but feel all my goosebumps up. the whole yog experience was simply brilliant! and of course the best moments of my life! can't be thankful enough for this once in a lifetime experience! can't imagine how much pride i felt in this volunteering work!it was really a great time spent contributing to this world wide event. and im really so proud so proud of singapore! to be able to host such a successful event in a short span of 2.5 years. can't bear for the event to end at all. but guess happy times are always short. in fact, too short! totally don't look forward to school start because i had so much so much fun. all in all, i really really had an awesome time at this inaugural Youth Olympics. i'm just so glad that i did volunteer! and yes, WE CREATED HISTORY...
